Vaal River Parys
The river has Grade 1 to grade 3 rapids depending on water levels and promises to
be exiting yet safe!! The river has lots of channels and islands and stunning scenery.
We use two man inflatable rafts on low water levels and 8 to 10 man rafts on high
water levels. We spend approximately 3 hours on river depending on water levels.
Only 120km drive from JHB.
The Vaal River from the Vaal dam wall (Upper Vaal)
This stretch has more adventurous rapids on low water levels than the stretch in
Parys. No polluted water as water flows out directly from the Vaal dam. We climb
in below the Vaal dam wall. This stretch has Grade 1 to grade 3.5 rapids depending
on water levels and also promises to be exiting yet safe with beautiful country
scenery. We use 2 man inflatable rafts on low levels and 8 to 10 man rafts on high
water levels. We spend approximately 3 hours on river depending on water levels.
1.5 Hour trips also available. Only a 100 km drive from JHB and situated just outside
Denysville.
What we provide on the day:
* Transport and logistics – once in the vicinity.
If pre arranged excellent bush cuisine for brunch, raft lunch or supper.
Experienced APA trained guides on River Rafting trips.
All rafting equipment, i.e. Boats, Life Jackets, Helmets, Waterproof Buckets, etc
for the duration of the Rafting trip.
Covering of all costs for servitude, localized transport, etc.
What you will need for the day:
Dry clothes after the Rafting trip, Costume, Strops, Towel, Hat to prevent sunburn,
Shorts, T-shirt, Sun block a definite must, Windbreaker, Spec-floats, Soft drinks,
Snacks for the river, Energy drinks, Water, Wet-suit in Winter, Sunglasses strap
and some SPIRIT FOR ADVENTURE!!!
DR’S NOTE OF FITNESS - If any medical procedures have been experienced, if on any
medication, if subject to any seizures, or other medical conditions, e.g. diabetes,
anxiety, do not hesitate to speak up!!
Leave all valuables: Jewellery, Rolex watches and Weapons at take out point. And
an absolute must, Alcohol for afterwards!!!!
